Characteristics and Properties: Of tropical origin, the Tahiti lemon (Citrus latifolia) is not, in reality, a true lemon, but an acid lime. Cultivated since the last century in California, USA, it is assumed that its introduction there was made from the seeds of fruits imported from Tahiti, deriving from its name. In Brazil, “Tahiti” is one of the most commercially important citrus species! It is a medium to large, vigorous plant with almost no thorns. The foliage is dense green, with medium-sized leaves.
